I'm gonna be broke by July
« on: February 15, 2008, 02:25:17 PM »
Just got back from Bowlfest and had my first chance to check out all the vendors at the convention center in Albuquerque.  I am in serious trouble, because I want one of everything.  Maybe two of some things.

So far, my shopping list includes a new pair of Dexters, a Lane 1 Evolution because the price is just too good to pass up (still thinking about it, but I can see it happening), maybe a Brunswick mini-ball because it's really pretty - Twisted Fury, some of that secret sauce stuff (as soon as it's in stock), and various other little gems that have caught my eye.  I haven't even gotten to the main souvenir booth because I came in through the back doors and didn't get out to the lobby area until the booth had closed.  It looks huge, though, so I'm sure I'll find many things I can't live without.

I'm going back tomorrow for opening ceremonies, so I'll scope out some more.

Deb

P.S. Rudy Revs is working at the Lane 1 booth for the run of the tournament, as is Beans of Beans Secret Sauce.  Stop by and say hi to them!

Deb,

I know what you mean about going broke by July.  I've already spent about $200.00 without even buying a ball yet(notice I said "yet").  Picked up 3 Lanemasters shirts and accessories from them and the main souvenir booth.  The guys at the souvenir booth were pleasant to deal with.  They have alot of clothing, with the USBC logo's for adults and kids, "Dragonfly" apparel(lots of flame and skull designed shirts)and alot of accessories by Masters(i.e. work-out tools, wrist supports, tape, cases, etc....).

Good luck to anyone trying to get out of there without spending some money!

P.S. I got to see Rudy "Revs" Kasimakis, Beans, and Brain Voss the other day as well.

Yep, the pain has begun.  I bought shoes, two giant rolls of tape, and an extra slide sole tonight after the opening ceremonies.  Going to try out the shoes tomorrow at Tenpins during their little doubles tournament.

Oh, had the brisket at the snack bar.  Not too bad.
