How much money to take?

This will be my first ABC this June and I am a senior bowler. How much money should I take with me to play a bit in the brackets? I did learn a lesson this past year with shooting the Peterson, I mean my high game was 156

Senior brackets are $5 as opposed to $10 for regular.My advise would be to load up on senior brackets and throw a few bucks into regular.After the team event you can place your money where it did the most for you.I have found a low game that takes me out of regular brackets will still carry a number of seniors.My cash out this year was $900 in senior brackets and $150 in regular.

Put most of it in Senior brackets in team. The lanes are full and you stand a much better chance. In D/S you end up bowling against the same guys all the time.

How much? Depends on how much you like to gamble. 20 brackets - $100 and whatever you win for the next day. The more you bet, the more fun the 1st game is!!!

Thanks for the replies. I found from shooting the Mini in Vegas this past July, that even a real low game can carry you over.

I will see about getting that One Million Dollars, "Quicky".

There are a maximum number of brackets you can enter.

I’m not sure of the number but I believe it is 80 brackets. Depending on the makeup up squads the actual number of brackets can and will be lower.

There are generally a lot fewer brackets in doubles and singles. So most load up in the team events.

There are $10 and $5 brackets for everyone and seniors (over 50) have an additional set of $10 brackets.  

If you got into everything you could probably put $1500 in the team event alone.

We put two seniors in 40 brackets each in the team event. In doubles and singles there was only about 25 brackets available.
