Hyatt regency DO NOT STAY THERE
« on: March 04, 2008, 03:56:55 AM »
If you are planning on going to the tournament still DO NOT stay at the Hyatt regency, I just returned from the tournament and this hotel is a complete joke. The day we arrive they tell us that after the first night we will have to move our room due to the renovation they are doing, ok no big deal but when we go to use the showers there is zero hot water they move us next am and still no hot water and after going out to party the night prior cannnot sleep in past 8am due to all of noise from equippment running all day from 9-5 including weekends. the next day we asked about a shuttle to a casino and are told it is not running today due to a convention?? The next day after visiting friends at their hotel we were told by personnel at the other hotel that the Hyatt has always been poorly managed. The usbc sure picked a wonderful hotel to be the host hotel for the tounament this year. Do yourself a favor and stay away!!!

Can't; reservation already made and charged (which bothers me already; they should not charge until I am there). Bad sign!

I would see if you could get a full refund. If not you are in for a long visit from this place

Sounds like the hotel we stayed at in Syracuse.  I heard after the tournament was over they tore that hotel down.

Try to seek a refund at the corporate level. Call and complain directly if you have to, make lots of noise. Even if you don't get refunded, there's a chance you could get comped at other hotels that company owns. Just a thought.

When the tournament was there last time that's where we were suppose to stay. They were "overbooked" so they moved us to a dump of a hotel. Only good news was we did not have to pay for those nights at the other hotel. For 4 or 5 nights we only paid like $110 and that was the last night we stayed there. I hope you don't have to step on roaches anymore though. I do remember that walking to the convention center.
