Ok I just got back about 3 hours ago and let me first say this this is a very nice city.  We were treated well all over the place and it seemed to me that everyone I talked to was aware of the tourney going on.  Stayed at the Best Western Rio Grande it was nice no problems there.  On to the bowling...We the convention center is setup really nice.  Lots of room in the booth area.  Bowled the Roto Grip Challenge Friday night nothing to report there kind of just another Sport Shot but it was a nice warm up before team.  At this point though I would like to remind any one who reads this of a very import fact...5000 feet is about 1 mile.  That is also the elevation of the convention center in Albuquerque...If you come form sea level as I do on the east coast it does make a difference in your lung capacity.  I could not believe how hard I was breathing after 2 very fast paced games.  Team event Friday night lane 48 (yes that is the wall lane)  fresh oil took a little bit to find a shot finally moved outside playing straight up 8 in game 3 for 594 set.  Saturday Doubles lane 21 I immediately found a great shot and after about 5 frames I looked at my partner and told him that I was going to eat this shot up.  I was playing deep inside and there was plenty of back end.  Well the great news for me was I shot 707 in doubles with 30 clean!!!!  Singles had a good look inside again shot 214 214 then this is were my warning about the elevation comes in 170 last game for 598 and 1899 for all events.  i just lost my legs the last game of singles and the tank was empty.  Personally this was my best turnout ever for nationals I made plenty of money in brackets.  Getting a piece of the 30 clean pot will help also.  Tournament as usual was well run and very organized.  I received both my silver medal and bronze medal and my 30 clean award within minutes of finishing.  I met a lot of great bowlers out there and even more great people.   The staff is doing there best and it ran very smooth this weekend.  I wish everybody good luck when they go.

That reminds me that I'd better start the cardio. Salt Lake City is about 4200 feet, which shouldn't be a big adjustment, but I could use the exercise now that golf is getting closer.

Thanks everyone and yes Pat i did try the New Mex food and it was as wonderful as I expected.  We at a place down by old Downtown dont remember the name but it is on the corner of Rio Grande BLVD.  

The Silver medal was for shooting the 700 in any regular event the bronze was for shooting between 1850 and 1950.  I realized I would have gotten 2 silver with just one more pin.

Ok the question is always asked "what ball did you use"  my joke answer is the one that knocked the pins down.  The truth is in team I started with my NVS for a couple of games then went to my Twisted Fury.  That is also what I used in Doubles and Singles but on a diffrent line.  The shot is a typical Nationals shot nothing surprising OB outside and you better hit your mark and make spares.  I missed 7 single pins over the course of 9 games.
