Tournament cost,Vegas

What is the cost per person? Excluding the $15.00 all events fee.It states 180.00 per/set doubles & singles and $225.00 per team. Is that 180.00 + 45.00
per person or $90.00 + $45.00 per person? Thanks in advance.

We paid $150/person total, singles, doubles, team, and all events.

It is $45/per person per event plus $15 for all events.  The $180 includes the doubles and singles for both people.  You cannot bowl singles without bowling doubles.

This is my first time bowling Nationals in May.  Besides singles, doubles, and team, what other area tourneys are available?  And when do I sign for them?  thanks, joe

Jbruno,
There are a few side tournaments you can bowl. I recommend the BTM, Bowling This Month magazine's tournament. It is bowled on a totally flat condition, gutter to gutter. It will show you how good, or in my case how bad you really are, lol. They also have a new tournament this year called 1-2-3 where you can bowl singles, doubles, trios on the USBC condition. They are at the Silver Nugget bowling lanes (I think). Also have the BJI, Bowler's Journal Inernational tournament, another bowling magazine. And if you are looking for a little fun, there is the 40-frame game. This uses a special software package that creates 1 game with 40 frames, with lots of special frames, like Mulligans or Sour Grapes where you lose pins for every pin left standing on your first shot, etc.

If you want to know more about any of these, check out the web. BJI info is listed on bowl.com, BTM is at bowlingthismonth.com. Also can look at 40-frame game, but I don't know that website, but if you search for 40-Frame game it should come up.

When you get to Vegas.

Call ahead to see when the squads run and then reserve spots.

Oops, sorry. I guess I forgot that part huh.

As bass said, these you sign up for when you show up at the lanes, no need to do so early. Just call ahead or check the websites for squad times. For the BJI and BTM there are no set squad times, just a start and end time each day, when you show up you can usually bowl. I would assume the same for the BTM's 1-2-3 tournament as well. But the 40-framer has set squad times that you'll need to find out if you want to bowl that.
