100 foot lane

Does anyone know if the 100 foot lane still exists in Reno?  I bowled on it several years ago but have not seen if it still exists to do it again.

The time I bowled on it, they oiled down to 60 feet which left 40 feet of backend.  That is the equivalent to bowling on a 20 foot pattern on a normal lane.

I tried it once got to the arrows before the old gutter got me.

It used to be in the Reno Hilton, now the Grand Sierra.  It is not there anymore...I bowled in the Bowler's Journal tourney, which is at the Grand Sierra and went looking for it, but did not find it.

Not really, its still 2/3 part of the lane that is oiled.

Unless it's 66% wider than a standard lane as well as longer, I'm gonna go with "40' of backend" over "2/3 of the lane that's oiled".

My teammates told me stories about it, they said that the lane wasn't level either, the ball would just jump back toward the gutter sometimes depending on what board you crossed at which point. I wish they still had it, it sounds like it would have been fun. I don't remember seeing it 6 years ago when I was at the Hilton last, so I think it has been gone for a while. My teammates all have close to or over 20 years at the tournament, this was only my 6th.

I think its been 9 yrs. since it was last installed.
We had a blast on it way back then.

I bowled on it in 1998 and it was a blast!  The guy running it could strike at will.  When he threw the ball it just meandered down the lane from side to side, but always ended up in the pocket.  After watching him throw three in a row, my buddy and me could not resist.  Of course we failed miserably!! LOL  I threw nothing but gutter balls and my buddy got a seven count.
