True, but we're all going to be playing the same fresh oil pattern (with small environmental variables) with the same kickbacks, pindecks and pins. Fresh oil patterns usually favor one track shape or the other until it starts to break down.
As for breakpoints, there usually is one or two highest scoring breakpoint areas on either side of the lane. The bowlers personal style is only a factor in how they get to that breakpoint.
