Our group stayed at the embassy suites this past weekend and we all were very happy. The rooms were clean, staff was nice, they let us check in early especially after driving 19 hours from chicago. Breakfast was good, the food at their restaurant is outstanding and the best part is the free drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 each night. As far as night life, we tried going to a brazillian restaurant on central near the convention center but they couldn't fit our group of 13 in but we also heard the Library is a good hangout for drinks. Parking across the street from the center was free all weekend we were there, not sure if that's a weekend thing or if it was because of easter. Bowling wise we bowled the same squad times you did and we found that team event there was less backend than at 7am, mostly cuz they double strip the lanes at 3am. We used the stub lane in the squad room to warm up sunday morning and for the small price they charge you can warm up for as long as you like. If you are bowling the BTM, Bowlers Journal or 40 frame game it's real easy to get to from the embassy suites, just turn left on Lomas and take that for 5-10 minutes and both centers are across the street from each other. Sorry that this was kinda long but I hope it helps out.
