Where are you going to stay in VEGAS?
« on: July 22, 2008, 11:30:43 AM »
Just wondering where everyone was going to try to stay in Vegas this year.  I'm looking somewhere on the strip at a decent price.

Just so happens that I have a timeshare at the Dessert Paradise. I had enough points I own that I booked 2 2bedroom condos for my group. And I also got 2 free roundtrip airfare on American Airlines for buying more points. So, my trip is pretty much already paid for. And I'm only charging the other 3 couples 200$ a couple for a 4 night stay.

I also have enough points for my timeshare to book another 2 bedroom condo if anybody is interested. The place will let you have 6 people stay in each condo.
So, let me know. I would cut a good deal.

The times I will be their are March 8th to March 12th. Bowling on the 9th and 10th.

I'd like to stay at the Bellagio, but as of now I'm guessing it may be someplace downtown to be near the convention center  We haven't decided yet.

Does anyone who's booked yet know what rates are, on average?  I'm just curious.

I am not sure where we are staying yet.  I plan to do a wait and see with rates.  Rumor has it that hotel rates in vegas might come way down to try to attract people in this "down" economy.  I know if you wait and catch it right, you can get some nice hotels on the strip for under $110 / night weekends included.  Now if only airfare will come down under $350 from Philly

Bowling March 14/15, and hoping to get some good golfing in as well

Wait, doesn't everybody get comped rooms at the Wynn or Bellagio? I thought all you people were high rollers. Myself, I think I'm going to stay at the Orleans. USBC has rooms there for about 75 bucks a night, and they have a shuttle to the strip. Gonna have to rent a car to get to Cashman Center, but that's only for 2 days.
