I think a lot of people, including the major bowling publications, have been impressed by both the Roto Grip Cell and the 900 Global Break Pearl.

going by what I've read the Cell has everyone excited. I have not thrown one and don't plan on it but as far as rave, I think it has that award.

The best ball for me that has been release of recent is the Nsane levrg. Got my highest series with the two that I have and it works great on the PBA lanes.

Not to interupt, but I think he's asking about the preferred ball at Nationals.  Last year it seemed that all the high scores were being shot with the Special Agent early and the Shift later.  Has any one ball jumped out this Nationals as the one to use?

Ahh...sorry, didn't catch that. My bad. That would be a no to the original question, BTW.

This past week(thursday, friday and saturday), the ball I saw the most of was the Cell, maybe not the best look for some, but I did see a boat-load of them.

I did see quite a few Black Widows as well.

I saw a LOT of Cells going down the lane this last weekend and when I asked in the Storm booth what was "THE" ball this year, I was told the Cell.  Mine was at home.

It was the Thunder Road Solid, not the Special Agent.

No it was the Special Agent. Riggs' team all used them, so did a bunch of the other high scorers. I used it last year as well. It was "the" ball last year.

Haven't heard any buzz this year. If Russell's (Jabroni's) info to me is solid (which I'm thinking it is), the lanes aren't much different than last year overall. If something worked last year, it probably works this year. It's the line that might not.

Last years "the ball" was the Special Agent. I drilled up a barely used one just for this tournament, and I never threw anything else while I was there. Came out striking from the start, and I would say I had a successful tournament.

Like last year, many balls have the potential to deal with the slightly heavier oil we have seen in team. The problem remains with sport-compliant shots is that you don't want to cover too many boards. That leads only to trouble. SO you need either ball speed, a stroker release or a calmer drilling for some big hooking balls like the Cell.

Gamebreaker, Rival, Special Agent, Cell, Terminator, Nighthawk, Wizard, Blast Zone, GLadiator, Break all have the capability to deal with this oil pattern. How you drill them and how you prep them for your release makes all the difference.

Last year the Special Agent was indeed the ball.

I would guess that three of Riggs' team may have used them, but I'm pretty sure Shady is an Ebonite guy and Ricter is a Roto Grip guy.
