Lane waitresses only take cash...and they are very expensive.  Not worth it...just get your pregame on at the casino/hotel and keep the party goin afterwards.

It seems to be going ok, nothing out of hand so far. It is more the people bowling can enjoy a soda if they feel now.

well, didn't seem to be an issue for the most part. however there were a couple people in my group (4-5 out of 40) who got extremely drunk and was being loud and obnoxious. to the point where the usbc official had to come say something to them.  didn't bother my game however i could see if this is a week in/week out problem, they will overturn this decision. i could see the few screwing it up for the rest of us.

Just as I said in a previous thread, there are going to be some people who once they get a couple in them, they are going to forget it is OUR National Tournament and think it is a league night.  Some people wont be able to handle it and ruin it for everyone else who can.  This is a 5 month long tournament.  Someone is bound to really mess it up.  I see it being overturned as well though I like the idea of allowing sodas/iced tea.  For the most part, I still drank the water out of the snow cone cups.  For me, there wasnt any issues at all when I was bowling.  There were only a couple people willing to fork over the $6.00.  So the beer drinking was at a minimum and it felt like any other USBC Tournament.

If anyone out there is worried about the scores being too high, try duckpin!!

By expensive do you mean $3-4 a beer?  If it's just a money maker and they are gouging even a staunch pitcher a set bowler will shy away.

I don't believe I've seen a beer for that price at the Nationals venue recently.  I wouldn't expect that now that they are delivering it to the lanes.

i heard rumors that they are running 4.50

In TWOHAND's reply it says beer is $6 a pop, plus I assume a tip. Enough of a deterrent for me.
