Went to Nationals last week and I took 8 teams. Most all of these people I drilled there balls for them. Out of all the balls that got weighed one was checked. A full-roller layout with the pin and CG and the back side of the ball and a weight hole between a 3 inch pin. The guy at weigh in said it was a 1.4 onces to much top weight and that the ball could not be fixed that she would have to buy another ball. I took the ball down to the Ebonite booth since I am a Strike Affects Shop and checked the ball with there DoDo Scale. The ball was actually 1/2 once top weight and 1/4 side. I then had the guy at the booth check behind me and he agreed. So I took a bevel sander and hit that weight hole 4 or 5 good time. Took the ball back to check in and it  passed. If I had not been there they would have had another victim, dont get me wrong they had really good deals this year on discontinued stuff, but being forced to buy a ball is wrong.

lets clarify, it sounds more like a poorly trained person not familiar with wieghing up a full roller layout

word to the wise, everyone should have their driller mark grip center on ball, especially those that like their statics close to legal, this way the person running the machine can get it centered exactly on grip center, if you watch they are a lot times not even close, and they dont measure to see if they are on true grip center.

A friend of mine is a full roller, he did pretty well at Nationals.  591 in singles, 565 in doubles, and 528 in teams.  The 528 was hampered by a 139 game, most of his games were 190-210, he normally carries about a 190 average.  He did stop by the Banger booth and get pearl and solid Hole Pounder and a tote, I believe he used the HPP while he was there.
