Payouts?
« on: August 12, 2011, 11:14:14 PM »
Anyone else still waiting to recieve their checks from Nationals? We recieved one team, but not our companion team. USBC claims they mailed in two batches. That seems a little strange that our companion team with an entry number different by One number wasn't at the same time. Only real difference is our other team had a bowler that cashed for a decent amount including winning the strike pot twice for the 1-5-9 and also a second in the other.

I received the checks for my teams in two batches, but both were a couple of weeks ago.

Not sure anyone still reads this forum at this point, lol, but have a question I hope someone can help with. I think there might be an error in my check from USBC Open this year. Who should I talk to at USBC to look into this? Thanks for the help.

Team captain did get all but one check. One of guys did real well and like I said cashed in every event in the strike pots with eithe 8 of 9 and two 9 of 9 strikes. He has talked to USBC several times and check is supposed to be coming. What happened to payout in 30 days?

Well got the rest of the story on this missing money. IF you cashed in the strike pot more than once, the computer only picked up one of your payouts. So the guy on our companion team got shorted $1500.  He and the team captain has called and called to be told today it could be several more weeks before they cut him the check for the missing money. What happened to the rule that tournaments must be paid out in 30 days? Guess that only applies to the rest of the tournaments, not to the nationals.

Don't think the rule of a tournament cashing out within 30 days is ever followed, at least never around here lol.

Unless I have a disqualification and appeal, I always pay out in 30 days and try to pay out in 25. Depends on if I have trouble finding an average for verification and how tired I am after spending several weekends in the bowling center running the tournament and working my real job. I verify every average turned in up front to be sure they are accurate "if "they are on bowl.com. Only substitutions have to be verified later and if they captain shows up early enough I can often verify those at the center before they bowl.  Dallas pays out on time unless their is a DQ appeal, Texas State normally does as well. Even before USBC was in our back door. Maybe we are just lucky down here and most of our events pay when they should. Seems like the tournaments we bowl in Oklahoma pay off on time as well and last I remember the Southen does a pretty good job too.  So far only the Nationals doesn't seem to get it done for everyone when they should. One of our teams did get it on time, just the second didn't and then the one guy that is still waiting for the remainder of his.
