from what i have heard symmetrical is the way to go. if you go with assymetrical i would bring ones that dont boomerrang.

I'm curious, what were the asymmetrical balls you were using?  Were they at OOB surface?  My stats are similar to yours, along with about 10 degrees tilt, and I will be in Reno on the 24th & 25th.  I am planning on taking a pin-up Sync currently at 4000, a pin beside ring Nightmare at 4000, and a pin beside ring Nomad at 2500-4000, all balls done with NEAT pads, though I'm concerned the 4000 surface balls might be too high to start with.

I had my best look during singles, with a pin up low flaring ball.  Played a fairly tight inside line with not much snap.  As singles went on I moved a little left, but no big jump.  The carry was consistent (at least for USBC Open conditions). 

I probably should have tried this earlier on in Doubles, but I was throwing a ball with more backend and hitting the pocket, but just not carrying. 

symmetric rolly pieces worked the best for me.
columbia disorder at 3000 for team, balled down to shiny disruption
minors was a tour edition legacy, pin down, 4000 dull, very rolly
need to keep angles down if possible, straighter the better until you have some friction outside.
best advice to keep your scores up, practice, practice, practice those pares
