Question about hotels
« on: February 17, 2010, 04:49:15 PM »
This is my first time going to nationals since I aged out of youth this year, and my first time ever in Reno. I was wondering what hotels are the best? I was looking at staying in the Peppemill because I found a great deal on it. Has anyone stayed there before?

Don't know about the Peppermill first hand.  My parents went down there for dinner one year and to walk around and they said it was nice.

Every year my family stays at either Silver Legacy or Eldorado.  They are connected and both are very nice.  Clean rooms, plenty of choices for eating, etc.  About a 5 minute walk from the bowling stadium so we don't have to spend money on a rental car.

A large number of guys from our group stay at Harrah's.  Also very nice and about a 5 minute walk from the stadium.

Peppermill is a real nice hotel, lots of gaming choices, and they have a shuttle to the bowling stadium.

Stayed there before and staying there again this year

The closest (walking distance) are the El Dorado, Silver Legacy & Circus Circus...the Atlantis & Peppermill are nice but 15 minutes or so from the stadium. The Grand Sierra is the closest to the airpot but 15-20 minutes from the stadium.

Does anyone in your group have a Harrah's card? I was able to book four nights(thurs-sun) for a total of $160.

Unfortunately no, I wish though since the price is so cheap. Does anyone have a good review of The Nugget?
