Pat & Mike ... Isn't that some candy or cartoon or something?
The practice sessions are 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10. The early squad will be 4-5 person teams, 3 games, and the late squad will be doubles/singles, 6 games.
To either get on a team, or sign up a full team or D/S pair, call Art at the association office. I won't put the phone number here, because ... ya know. He's handling the sign-ups for both sessions. The sessions are free. I'm bowling both sessions, so maybe we'll finally get a chance to meet, Mike.
From what I understand the practice sessions will be used for testing various patterns being considered, training lane monitors and others who will be working the tournament, and debugging the electronics.
It's a heck of an opportunity to get some time on the lanes and in the convention center setting, even if we don't see the actual "final" pattern.
Side note here ... I edit the association newsletter, and the February issue is being distributed to the houses today. There's info about the practice sessions, other events leading up to opening day, including Bowlfest, and a section on all of the side tournaments being run throughout the main event. Be sure to pick one up!
