This was my 28 nationals so I know the drill.

In the past we had a companion team but the last 6 or 7 years we have had to go solo.

This year the team we were paired with had taken the lessons at the stadium on how to team play and break the lanes down.

Now this is second hand from them. But they said the main focus was that you had to bring a companion team with you. They said they didn't and the answer was pretty much, well then you are screwed.

I'm sure they got some instruction on what to use and how to create a burn area but the impression they had gotten that since they hadn't brought a companion team with them they might as well give up.

We did have the best team event for us in several years, we all play pretty straight and created a little burn area, but they didn't have as much success and will not cash.
