Ultimate or GP2 at Nationals???

Assuming a similar drilling, which would you take if you had the choice?  Any input will be appreciated.  Thanks!

Depends on the amount of hand---I would say neither. My Nationals post is upcoming.

Ok now to answer the question more directly. If you are bowling with a team of dull ball bowlers and you are in the same boat, the shot wont hold up long enough for you to use it. I have a buddy of mine with hand who drilled up a new GP2 thinking he would need it. He used it 5 frames on the fresh team shot (the tightest of the event) and it went back in the bag. It just hooks too much. I really dont feel a ball like that is necessary unless you are going to play the lanes wrong.

A real heavy oiler isn't needed. I tried my Midnight Scorcher for practise and the first couple of frames and couldn't get a good look. Switched to a 4x4 stacked Charcoal Executioner with a light polish and had a very good look in teams and s/d. We had fresh oil for s/d also. 7:00AM for s/d, not fun to bowl that early. They did have the stub lane going this year for the 7:00AM shift which helped alot.
I played 5th arrow, and as long I stayed inside of 10 had a little room for error. Just make your spares, can't tell you how many pins our team left on the lanes by being dumb.

I guess the answer depends...if you want something in case you hit the heavy stuff, and it sticks around, the GP2 is hands down the better choice. On the mediums, a ball like the UI or the original Rule will be better, it will not be so sensitive to the dry and will save some stuff for the backend.
