The current Classified Division leader is Chet G. Wigal III with a 661.

This guy was a 200+ average bowler until 2009 when he dropped to the 150/160 range.

If you look at the attached image from Bowl.com, his adjusted Sport Average for the last 27 games is 204. Which moves him out of the Classified division.

I see two things with this that is odd. One, why is the Open Championships "Scratch" average subject to a "Sport" adjustment? And two, does USBC not even read their own stuff? It says right on the page(highlighted in yellow) that if the adjusted Open Championships average is higher than their book, it must be used.

His all events totals for the last three years are:
1695 - 2016
1503 - 2015
1560 - 2014
For a total of 4758.

The 661 was his score for the 2016 USBC Open Championships (he won the classified division last year with the 661).

The current leader of the Classified Division for the 2017 USBC Open Championship is Nick Stenberg with a 621.

Ah, good catch, I read that wrong then. I was assuming that the page had pic's of the current leaders...

My bad.
