usbc response time
« on: April 16, 2012, 02:05:29 PM »
I was trying to get some info on the practice pair and I called last Thursday morning (830AM PST) and left my contact info, and emailed them last night but so far no response.

What would be a reasonable time to expect a response?

It may be different for the tournament, but...... I've emailed them in the past on rule related questions and it was a good 24 hours before they respond back.

Thanks.  I had hoped they would have called me back by now because it has been four days since I left a message to the person taking the reservations.

I emailed back in February for showcase lanes, and sent my email on a wednesday....got a response the following monday. So it took a few days, but once I received the initial reply, it was smooth sailing from there. I noticed in the email chain that the original email i sent to the address provided on the flyer gets forwarded to the appropriate person. That may be what slows down the initial response. Hope that helps some.

Sounds good.  I will be patient and wait for a response.

I'm glad you got a response.  I called Wednesday and left a message, no reply.  I called Thursday and left a message, no reply.  I sent an email on Thursday, and so far, no response.  I am not impressed.

The response was not based on my original email.  When USBC confirmation the reservation date late Wednesday via email I saw my original email in it.  By then, I had already communicated with Debbie and received a phone call from Alington, TX asking to confirm the time and date.  I think it was sent from one department to another and that caused a delay.  It would seem much easier to email the scheduling directly instead of the main email and then have that person distribute them.  You might hear something by Monday.

I sent the email directly to her at the address shown in this thread.

Aren't they making money on this?  You would think they would be a little more responsive.  Time will tell.

It isn't the end of the world, but it is bad customer service.  I think a lot of us have gotten used to it.

I don't disagree with anything you stated.

I did one better..I emailed Matt C from Bowl dot com before I had her address.  He forwarded my request to her.

edit:  I received a response to my original call this morning...only 8 days after I placed the first call

Just to update my status.  I did finally hear back Friday evening via email.  So for those who are looking at trying to reserve a practice session, I would recommend email before a phone call.
