Im right handed, my span is 5 1/8 5 3/16 it feels way way tolong. I cant get any turn on the ball, and my pitches are 1/4 rev 0 left or right. It seems like I cant turn the ball. i get a very end over end roll and im trying to get more like a 45 Deg roll and I tried changing every thing hand pos. ect...

I'd recommend Paul Yoder who runs the pro shop at Holiday Bowl where the BJI is being held.  He can get on the lanes with you and actually watch you bowl before he recommends any changes to your drilling.  The guys at the booths don't have that luxury.

Paul redrilled all of my equipment after I had some nerve damage from a bad drill, and when he was done, I couldn't tell the difference between balls with my eyes closed.  Every one fit like a glove.

Talk to Andy Shutt at the brunswick booth, he drills for me back home and every ball always feels the same.

Caution:
At Nationals, there seems to be more occasions where people behind the counter feel the pressure of the situation. They work long hours and after 4 months of this, any one of even very good to great drillers can easily have an off day in both attitude and performance. While you can certainly blame them, this is a long and difficult situation and not every one handles it with grace and dignity for such a long stretch of continuous pressure.

I'd suggest if you insist on doing this (as someone already pointed out it is not good time to be doing this), try doing it about an hour after they open and if possible, a day after they have had a day off.

FYI Thomas "Beans" at the Lane#1 booth ain't too shabby a driller, nor is Frankie May, if you can get him to shut up for 30 seconds . Kent (& Lori) Wagner at the Lanemasters booth is a very good driller also.

Your hand will measure different and better at Nationals!

Seriously not a great idea if your goal is to maximize score on a tough condition!  BUT if you can't get a fit at home probably a good idea....for the long term!

ALSO....IF you have no axis rotation I'm guessing you'll end up with some right pitch on your thumb!

Stop by the Lane#1 booth. I will give you my opinion and you can make the choice to go wherever you want. Just stop by and say hi and we can discuss some things about your grip if you'd like.

Oooh!  I forgot about Beans!  Sorry, guy!  My husband wanted a Buzzbomb, and Beans watched him bowl the Roto Grip Challenge before offering drilling advice.  Mark thinks he did a great job on the drill, too, so there's an option!

Right pitch, hrmm i never tried that. Why would i gain axis rotaion from right pitch in the thumb, because the ball would stay on my hand longer ?
