I did it in Alb, NM when Nationals was last there.  He was not busy that day so I know I got more time than I was supposed to.  The things he told me to concentrate on seemed rather basic, but I obviously wasn't doing them because when I do, the results are there.  I haven't watched the video for some time, but I remember the three things he told me to work on because we went over them quite a lot.  I shared one with another bowler in league a couple weeks ago and he shot 750+ that night. I don't think it cost $160 then, maybe $100, but there's inflation. 

I will take my 4th lesson this year. Very much worth it every time. Get the video and the C.A.T.S. to set a baseline of what you have going on in your game right now.

Hard to overstate how good it is to get the honest insight that Mike gives. But if you don't want to hear the honest advice you are going to get and commit to working on what the parts of your game that you are given to work on, then save your money and Mike's time. I would tell anybody that seriously wants to improve at the game we enjoy, make the phone call, set the time and go soak it all up.

One of our league bowlers had it done last year and brought me the CD of his lesson.  I thought it was very informative and helpful to the extent that this bowler has used the information. 

It's up to you to take the advice and put it to use in order to see real improvement.  No REAL improvement comes easily, but I'd say do it as long as you're willing to make the necessary changes.  Sometimes bowlers get impatient and go back to their bad habits (and old average).  Change sometimes takes time...

I agree with everyone that taking the lesson with Jasnau is a good thing. He didn't try to change my game, but altered 2 things that made me more consistent in my approach. He does a good job at explaining everything on the video and comparing you with somebody that has a similar game. It is well worth the money if you are looking to get better and work on the items.

If you are willing to take lessons and practice to improve why would you wait and do this at nationals vs. finding a coach in your area that you can work with on a regular basis?

I started taking lessons with Mike in 2009, when it was in Las Vegas...he actually made the trip with his equipment and did a full video analysis at another center nearby. Ever since then I was hooked. I have seen him every year since, and some years multiple times. My game has improved drastically. Being able to take what you SEE and apply changes, then SEE the results makes all the difference in the world. Video doesn't lie, and muscle memory was fooling me for a very long time. Mike managed to simplify my game requiring less effort with better results.

This year, his full CATs lesson is offered as part of the VIP package. The package runs around $230 and also includes a Bowlers Journal entry, a locker to store your equipment, and some other goodies. This is the first year I will be doing the VIP package since between the lesson and the BJ entry, it's paid for. And honestly, having fulltime access to a locker at no charge is a great bonus since its $5 a pop to open the door on those things at the stadium.

All in all, there are a few things at Nationals I look forward to every year, and my lesson with Mike is always one of them. And you get to take home the whole lesson on DVD!
