Did you sign the waiver saying they arent responsible for bag damage? Flying back from Southwest they actually lost my 3 ball vise roller. Luckily I got it bag, however, the undercarriage of the bag is totally ripped, one set of zippers does not open, and the manner in which the zipper is off the track damages any ball near said zipper. My Prodigy had several zipper scratches on it.
All I can say is contact the baggage claim office at your local airport that represents Southwest. The world renowned customer service that they boast about? I didnt see it, as several people were surly, rude, and short on their responses.
