What are the chances?

Of USBC’s being cancelled because of coronavirus. I have a major problem spending $800 to go to that shit hole Reno, NV. I can go to international destinations for a few hundred more.

Lot of amateur MDs in this thread.

Yea, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once. Not last night, but it should still apply.  ;D

Problem with that is no one here has medical credentials. Based off some of the grammar here I’d argue some of these same guys  are not qualified to pump gas or bag groceries. Yet, somehow, on ballreviews.com are pseudo medical professionals.

Don't need medical credentials when looking at the numbers.  The pushed fear doesn't match the threat.  It's very scary what the news is doing and how the rest of the world is reacting. China got what they wanted but it's hurting them financially

I can’t believe the NBA season has been suspended and all travel from Europe is banned.

Look at the media sensationalizing over a common cold.

The Jazz center, Ruby Gobert, has tested positive for the virus, which has been the apparent reason the NBA has suspended basketball until further notice.  During the past few weeks the Jazz had games throughout the Eastern Conference and other games closer to home.  He was not at the arena to play tonight in OKC, and who knows how recently he contracted the virus, and from whom did he catch it?  As of now both teams (Jazz and Thunder) are quarantined in the arena in Oklahoma City.

I will be surprised if he is the only player that ends up with the virus, especially among his own teammates.  This is appropriate action considering the numbers of people who might be affected.  I hope the teams will be considerate of all the hourly employees who depend on those jobs to make ends meet.

This thing will continue to evolve with no one having all the answers for quite some time.  Best wishes to all people everywhere being affected by this pandemic.

Remember this as you travel to the Open Championships:

Three security screeners at a Northern California airport have tested positive for the new coronavirus, the Transportation Security Administration confirmed in an email late Tuesday.

The transportation security officers, all of whom work at Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport, are the first confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus within the agency, according to a union official with TSA Council 100.

The identities of the three screeners have not been released.

"The officers are receiving medical care and all TSA employees they have come in contact with over the past 14 days are quarantined at home," the TSA, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security, said in a statement.

"Screening checkpoints remain open and the agency is working with the CDC, as well as the California Department of Public Health and the Santa Clara County Public Health Department to monitor the situation as well as the health and safety of our employees and the traveling public."

The three officers would have come into contact with thousands of passengers passing through the airport's security checkpoints, TSA union officials say.

....

Wonder how they are going to track who (passengers) came into contact with them?

I wasn’t sure before. Now I am sure, you’re a fucking idiot. From bowling to this and everything in between. You’re contrarian for the sake of being so and think you’re “so smart” when in actuality all you do is smell your own farts because you think you’re so “sharp”.

This is global pandemic. People with far greater knowledge than you have said as much. The WHO has declared as much. But being the lead rope-dick that you are continues to spread misinformation.

Pat yourself on the back because only you matter. You're so thought provoking with your insight to whats going on. Fear mongering and propaganda in full force. The numbers tell a different story.  The one thing the news tries to avoid giving.

Is there a problem that I changed my user name years ago?  You keep crying kidlost like a bad ex who needs to be served an order of protection because they can't let go.  Good luck surviving the corona-pocalypse. Stay home where you are safe.

Fact is that China allowed this to spiral out of control for only reasons they know.  They lied about the numbers and tried to initially ensure us it was under control when in fact the true numbers were exponentially more than what they led on to.  There are 6 known strains and this one just happens to be one never seen before.

While this is spreading faster than a California wildfire; the death rate is only around 1% and the average age is 80 years old.  Of all the confirmed cases here in Florida, only 2 are under the age of 60.  One person is 29 and that person got it while in Italy.

China is completely responsible for not containing this as well as letting foreign leaders to believe it wasn't as bad as it was.  Yet, the Fake News is striking fear in to Americans and telling us it is Trump's fault which is completely asinine.  Had China been more forthright in the severity of the virus from day 1; I would be willing to bet it would not be spreading around the world and in to the US in the manner that it has and lives could have been saved.

No-one is claiming that the virus is Trump's fault. They are criticizing his HANDLING - his response to the virus. That is totally on him. You don't have a major medical issue happen to the entire country, and then keep the experts you need to provide recommendations to you and what the full magnitude of the issue is outside of a meeting you called because you mark the meeting as CLASSIFIED.

Yes, Trump did that.

Trump went on record saying that " this is nothing/it will blow over/it will be gone by April.

Yes, Trump did that.

Trump bans travel to/from Europe except the UK? In Italy's case, fair enough, but no other country in Europe has any cases as extreme as Italy. In fact, the next worse for COVID IS THE UK.

Yes. Trump did that.

And as if COVID isn't going to come in from any other country? You know... Japan, S. Korea, or China, since it all started there?

Yes.. Trump did that.

So yes, Trump deserves all the flack he's getting on his handling and responses to COVID-19. That's all on him, and isn't asinine; that's his own muck-up, and he bloody well owns that.
