Of USBC’s being cancelled because of coronavirus. I have a major problem spending $800 to go to that shit hole Reno, NV. I can go to international destinations for a few hundred more.

Not here to go political on this for blame etc. Other then China lol it's all them

Anyone watch Joe Rogans expert?  Maybe the first 3mins???

Coronavirus according to them:  480,000 projected deaths worldwide,  with 96 million projected to be infected. Which is a mortality rate of .0005. The CDC list influenza with 242,000-690,000 deaths worldwide each year. Overreacting to corona or under reacting to the flu?

Collegiate sectionals just got postponed.  Tournament is definitely in jeopardy.  See blurb from bowl.com below.

ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) is postponing the Intercollegiate Singles and Team Sectionals scheduled for March 13-15. Competition at all locations is postponed indefinitely.

USBC made this decision after reviewing the actions of universities and national governing bodies to postpone or cancel collegiate events due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

USBC will continue to monitor conditions in the coming weeks and consider options for rescheduling the intercollegiate events. USBC will continue the previously announced policy to refund entry fees for any school or athlete who chooses to withdraw from these events.

Both - many people don’t get a flu shot and completely dismiss or under react to the flu. Conversely most folks are overreacting to COVID 19. We need to average our reactions out.

It will likely be canceled next.  Considering the international competitors factor along with elderly bowlers it's probably going to be announced sooner then later

12,000-60,000 people of all ages die in the US from the flu every year.  That and heart disease is going to be a bigger risk to most bowlers then the cornavirus will be world wide.

Canceling is the trendy thing these corporations are jumping on.  So nationals should be safe.

I updated my number with the experts.   Doesn't appear coronavirus is going to pass flu or heart disease. Keep us posted

Fact is that China allowed this to spiral out of control for only reasons they know.  They lied about the numbers and tried to initially ensure us it was under control when in fact the true numbers were exponentially more than what they led on to.  There are 6 known strains and this one just happens to be one never seen before.

While this is spreading faster than a California wildfire; the death rate is only around 1% and the average age is 80 years old.  Of all the confirmed cases here in Florida, only 2 are under the age of 60.  One person is 29 and that person got it while in Italy.

China is completely responsible for not containing this as well as letting foreign leaders to believe it wasn't as bad as it was.  Yet, the Fake News is striking fear in to Americans and telling us it is Trump's fault which is completely asinine.  Had China been more forthright in the severity of the virus from day 1; I would be willing to bet it would not be spreading around the world and in to the US in the manner that it has and lives could have been saved.

No-one is claiming that the virus is Trump's fault. They are criticizing his HANDLING - his response to the virus. That is totally on him. You don't have a major medical issue happen to the entire country, and then keep the experts you need to provide recommendations to you and what the full magnitude of the issue is outside of a meeting you called because you mark the meeting as CLASSIFIED.

Yes, Trump did that.

Trump went on record saying that " this is nothing/it will blow over/it will be gone by April.

Yes, Trump did that.

Trump bans travel to/from Europe except the UK? In Italy's case, fair enough, but no other country in Europe has any cases as extreme as Italy. In fact, the next worse for COVID IS THE UK.

Yes. Trump did that.

And as if COVID isn't going to come in from any other country? You know... Japan, S. Korea, or China, since it all started there?

Yes.. Trump did that.

So yes, Trump deserves all the flack he's getting on his handling and responses to COVID-19. That's all on him, and isn't asinine; that's his own muck-up, and he bloody well owns that.

BL.

Yea, yea. We get it. Everything Trump is bad and everything Obama is AWESOME!

I can guess who you voted for...

Here is a bit of info for you, both sides suck.

I said had Trump known the real numbers from the start he could have made his decisions sooner and helped to contain the virus.  China informed him the virus was not spreading nearly a rapid as it was.  China bold faced lied about the whole thing and yet he was monitoring it from the start.  Can you imagine if he would have taken 6 months to make a decision like someone else did during the Ebola and Swine outbreaks?  Thats all I am saying.

This pandemic will probably continue to grow, and we will learn more about it daily.

Let's hope some people will avoid any unnecessary health problems by being aware of how it's transmitted.  I also believe this is not a panic stage, but no one seems to have all the answers yet.

May common sense help get everyone through this life changing event, unscathed if possible.

Was referring to the plague numbers.  Wasn't going to Reno so that won't affect my bowling plans
