Things you would factor in, what you shoot your spares with and your style. Rev rate, ball speed and LH or RH

Rev rate in the 300's.  Ball speed 16 mph.  Norm duke Walter Ray type of player.  Not much hand.

3? I'd say Sure Lock, Eternal Cell, Pitch Black.

I second Dooms motion.

The eternal might be best at 2k no polish....

I think the sure lock is a good choice. Then the no rules pearl, can adjust surface if needed. Then the timeless as long as you can shoot spares with one of those balls. If not substitute the pitch black for the timeless

What about taking an iq tour solid.  I can always get one by the time I leave.

An IQ Tour Solid would be a better choice than the Timeless. Then you would have a strong solid(sure lock),a pearl ( no rules pearl) that if needed could adjust surface. And a predictable mid range solid (IQ Tour). 3 balls, that if needed with surface adjustments would cover the conditions in Vegas.

I just got back from there a couple of weeks ago and my stats are similar to yours.  An IQ Tour Solid, pin down at 2000 grit surface, was money for me in team event.  If I could only have gotten out of my way my scores would have been better.

For D/S I used a Menace at 500 grit, based on your list I would take the Sure Lock and add lots of surface to it.  I had one good game in Singles (268), but quickly came back to earth with a 138 the next game.  If I had been paying better attention, I would have jumped inside (same ball) instead of continuing to play off of the corner.

I took a Pitch Black for a spare ball and also because of a gut feeling about team event.  Ultimately it was used for corner pin spares...I left more than I thought I would.

My suggestion what to take:

Sure Lock at 500 grit
IQ Tour Solid at 2000 grit
Pitch Black

Isn't the BJ still held on the minor's pattern? and if so, that should tell everyone how to play minors..

No, lanes play different in the South Point center vs plaza. The regular South Point center has a lot of friction

A plastic ball for 98% of your spare leaves.

Team has more friction then expected and urethane is a great option to blend out the over under.

Singles/doubles has very little friction and lots of oil between 2nd arrow and the gutter. Also lots of oil up front. If you don't have a group of bowlers working together to try and open up the shot prepare for 6 games of suck.

I just got back from Vegas, and I concur wholeheartedly. Dbls and sgls was unnecessarily tough for me because of other players spraying balls all over the place! I had an initial decent game with a 213 and then the carrydown happened and it was downhill from there!

Had that happen in team after game two. Singles/doubles we had two medium rev players playing together, 3 very low rev players, and one no thumb medium/high rev player.

Never moved from a 5 board area and made very small adjustments when the oil moved around down lane taking away the small bit of friction.  We were the first squad of the day. I think as the day goes on they warm up a little and may give bowlers a little better chance.

It was also the first of April with temps in the low 70s, I'd imagine the heat is now a factor. We were sweating in that place when it wasn't hot outside.
