From what I hear after a tournament this past week end that some pretty big state shooters bowled in... the outside volume was going to be less. It was mentioned it would be similar to Corpus Christi a couple years back, a little more hook off the outside. I thinking the double loads we saw, what was it about 2 and 5 last year? may be moved in a little. Not only the family thing but with so many years in Reno they want to try to give more guys a reason to keep coming. I don't mind it every so often, it gives the second tier a little better chance to taste some success. But it still won't be that easy. If I know Eric he still is going in with a target for where they want scores to average out to and although it may be 5 sticks higher or so than last year you still have to be pretty consistent with your shots. Biggest thing the last couple years we noticed, is with the oil change the backends are tight. Not so tough to hit the pocket, but to do it and have a decent carry percentage was tough. Lots of 7 pins, for right handers.... After while you loose patience shooting spares and get lazy and that's all it takes to take a 200 game down to 170-180. Unless you rifle straight at them you can't even relax on spares. Need to bare down on every shot.
