Nationals
« on: April 11, 2009, 02:43:21 PM »
Ok I just back from Nationals and had a great time.

I started team on 25 and 26 at the 8:30pm sqaud.

I started with 231 using a dull(1000) 2nd dimesion. The lanes were much tighter then I excepted. I was playing around 8-12 playing fairly straight up. I Then went 201 and 200 I played pretty much the same line, I only moved about 3 boards right over the three games. I am left handed so I didnt need to move to much and there werent any lefties on my pair.

Next day I started the 11:30pm squad for doubles on 45 & 46. They were very slippery on the lanes from the dust that fell from the vents and everything left of 20 were I stood I was falling on my face. I had to move deep inside still using my 2nd dimesion. I was playing about 20 at the arrows to about 10 and I had a pretty good look since they were a little more burnt from not re-oiling. I started 220 and then went 202, 202. I really wanted to be around 15-20 with my feet and playing about 15 to 10.
Once I got on to 47 & 48 for singles I got to stand about 15 and I had the whole lane pretty much as long as I didnt get left of 5 at my breakpoint. I started 243 and then bowled 242. The shot was great! I finised up with a 179 game just throwing I bad and I a 7-9 in tenth that killed me(lol). I used the dimesion the whole time I had the best look with that ball but I feel if I a VG I would have bowled better because that ball matched up very well with lanes from seeing other people using it. I finished up with 667 in singles and 1923 in all events. This was my first trip to Nationals and it wont be my last thats for sure. I had a great time.

I also got to bowl the 40 frame tournament. I threw 33 out 40 strikes in that tournament shooting 1132. That tournament was really fun. I didnt get to bowl the BTM though.

I stayed at the Golden Nugget it was a great hotel.

I don't think so, you  could walk across the street to Binions and they have a shuttle for brackets I think. Maybe someone will answer both of us?

Great bowling! did I read your post correctly...you feel you could've scored better with a Virtual Gravity? Curious why you think that since you bowled so well with the scuffed up 2nd Dimension.

well the second dimesion was pin under and hooked early already...I feel that a VG would go a little longer and still cover more boards. The reaction from what I was seeing the VG looked the best.
