Great ball that compliments the Gladiator solid.

I drilled mine the same as my Gladiator solid.  Pin at 12 just above the fingers with the cg kicked out for 3/4 side and 1/4 thumb.  I kept the ball surface out of the box, same as I did with the Gladiator.

I loved the smooth consistent roll of the Gladiator solid, but it wasn't as aggressive in the oil as I had hoped.  The New Breed solid makes up the difference!  It's roll pattern is consistent just like the Gladiator solid, but it rolls 5-7 feet sooner with the same smooth but strong backend reaction.  Unlike the Gladiator, it requires head oil, otherwise it rolls too soon.

Overall another great ball from Visionary that very well compliments the rest of their current line!

I have used this ball on wood and on synthetic lanes both 40 ft long with an out of bounds to the right at the 5 board to the ditch.As long as you bumped the 5 board and did not try to over come it you could play but if you you played into it hoping to hook out you picked up the ten pin.Label drill,vacu grips.Waiting to drill the pearl next.If someone has an idea about a pattern for the pearl I'm open for suggestions.Thanks.

The ball is drilled pin over the Ring w/small balance hole. I left the surface at factory finish. I have used it on on AMF Synthetic Lanes and wood each oiled to about 39 feet THS. This ball has control with a controlled back end reaction. It lopes down the lane and revs hard. I like this ball as a compliment to my pearl. This ball has given me some of my best and most consistent scores this Summer. It is great playing straight up or with a small belly swing. The movement is reminiscent of my Purple Hammer only stronger.  

Likes: Controlled movement, Color(Nothing like it on the lanes), Crushing Pins

Dislikes: Dry lanes

This was the first of many Visionary balls I will purchase.

Have had this gem for several months and feel it deserves a review. Needed a strong solid reactive to fit under my Burgundy Gryphon and the New Breed Solid is more than capable of being an everyday first-shift ball. Drilled it strong with a stacked drill and left the cover in box condition-

My stats- RH tweener, 17-18mph, play mostly down and in. The NBS is an excellent complement to my Burgundy Gryphon. Local center puts out a heavy shot and I'm able to play my favored line even during my 2nd shift leagues. Ball clears the heads like a pearl and covers enough boards to still hit like a tank. Typical of most Visionary balls in my arsenal. Surprising that the aggressive cover is playable on almost all the shots our center puts out. The only time I actually had to put it in the bag was during open bowling on a Sat. night.

Pros- Excellent first ball out. Will give you an accurate read of any lanes with just a modicum of oil. Roll, hit, carry, etc.... all typical of any Visionary ball! Coverstock very easy to modify.

Cons- Drier conditions. Get the Pearl or Particle Pearl version to handle those shots!


Conclusion- Quite possibly the most versatile solid reactive ever produced. 9.5 out of 10. Another winner from Jason and co. Keep up the great work VBP!!!
