The new Incross coverstock contains a navy blue solid reactive material and a forest green reactive pearl that allows the New Breed Crossover to get down the lane easily, while still having enough traction to handle medium to heavy house patterns and carry down well. Designed to replace the recently discontinued New Breed Solid, this ball will have a similar ball motion, and cover the same type of lane conditions. Factory finished to 2000 Abralon, the Incross cover is very durable and takes to surface adjustments extremely easily.

The New Breed line is equipped with a slightly asymmetrical, dense center core design with a cap and a lighter wrap. This allows for a quick revving ball that begins to roll in the later part of the midlane while the pronounced cap provides more flip and a sharper break than the Gladiators. The “wedge” on the side of the core creates a mild mass bias for fine tuning the balls reaction.

Likes: This ball was exactly what I was looking for when I started throwing my Ogre Solid.  The Crossover is a ball that I have been able to play up the boards and swing from gutter to gutter with equal success.  I drilled mine with the pin at 5 inches and the cg/mb at a 35 degree angle with a small weight hole in the P3 position.  This puts the pin above my ring finger and the mb about 2.5-3 inches right of my thumb hole.  I wanted more backend to complement the Ogre Solid so I took the OOB finish and added Factory Finish.  What I got was a ball that could still handle a good amount of oil and yet still have the backend to kick the corners from deeper angles.  What I have liked so far is that when I encounter some carrydown, I dont get the 50 feet of skid and then 2-8-10.  With the weight hole in the P3 and my rev rate, I can still get the ball to read the latter part of the midlane and then wheel on the back.  Compared to my O.S, it is similar in amount of hook but more backend whereas the O.S. starts about 5 feet sooner and much more controllable throughout the skid to roll to hook transitions.  I have been able to use these 2 balls so far in league just about the whole season.  Very impressed with the Crossover.  This is my 3rd most favorite ball from VBP after the Mean Green and Crimson Ex.


Dislikes:  If I dont get around the ball at release, it tends to lose some continuation on the backend; almost a hook/stop type reaction.  However, it will be good for me on shorter patterns I believe when I do encounter them.

Miscellaneous Information


The Crossover is my Bench-mark/Go to ball. I’ll start with it on most lane conditions. I like the way it rolls up at the break-point. It makes a strong move towards the pocket. It has good continuation through the pins. This ball does not roll out and it keeps the pins low.

League - Bowl four games on fresh oil, 43' THS. Four man teams. To compare it to other balls I use, I’d say it is the easiest to get a good read of the lanes.

The Crossover is the first ball out of my bag.I would recommend the Crossover to my friends. But, not to someone that I have to bowl against in league.

It makes a strong move towards the pocket and hits like a truck. It is good continuation through the pins. This ball does not roll out and it keeps the pins low and leaves very few corner pins. I would recommend the Crossover to anyone,  a good ball for any league shot, if you’re looking for control in a ball.
