AMB Particle
« on: July 19, 2007, 09:12:39 PM »
FINALLY got to use my AMB Particle last night on our sport shot league. Pattern was 44 feet and heavy across the entire lane. Needless to say I saw many people struggle to get just about anything to move unless they slowed down to 12mph. Took the AMB Part. with me as I've had it punched up for a couple months and havn't found enough oil to throw it on. Ball absolutly shined on this pattern. Basically played my "normal" line for all 3 games and even made a couple 10 pins with it. Never burned up and while I saw some very weird leaves around me, the AMB drove through it all like a truck. Only other ball I saw that was driving through the oil with as much sucess was our local PWBA pro Jackie Sellers who was using a No Mercy. Of course, she was high for the night with a 682 series. Overall I was very pleased with the AMB, although I doubt I will get to use it very much.

I'm glad to hear this Spike.  I'm joining a PBA Experience league this fall and was thinking about this ball for Shark.  I know I sold you a Scorcher a while back.  I was curious as to how the 2 compare?

Don,

Yes, still have and still use the Scorcher! Read that the Scorcher's factory grit was also 320, but not sure where mine is. It definitely isn't close to the factory 320 that's on my AMB Part. There isn't much comparison between the two balls. The Scorcher can easily be used on a league shot and won't burn up before the end of the first game. Trimman suggested polishing the AMB for more length and I'll probably try that, but for now the Scorcher will be my heavy oil league ball. The AMB will probably just be a tournament ball that might get used a couple times a year. I'll post my comments on the AMB after I get some polish on it. Take care.
