Though the center may have the same 'oil' pattern per say, with the changes in the economy and less people bowling, is it possible that perhaps the quality of bowlers has dropped? Or perhaps even the quality of the balls being used?
A 5 person team that threw all the top of the line reactive balls, assuming they play close to one another, is going to clear up some of that oil. Perhaps now it's not as much.....or getting pushed around more. Anything!!
Maybe with the solid there's less head oil this year and the bowlers are chewing it up faster and your ball is losing too much energy.
Do you throw anything else, like a pearl, so you can guage the reaction? If you threw one and that ball took off strong, then you might see that you've got a different shot than before and that the Solid is too much for the lanes right now.
Just a thought!!
