Visionary Success
« on: March 13, 2008, 02:45:39 PM »
Just wanted to give a shout out to my fiance Melia Bennett, who has primarily been using VBP equipment (but she also throws a C300 Full Throttle and Track Rising).

She won a JOG qualifyer about a month ago to secure her spot in Detroit, Michigan in July. Finished 3rd at the JTBA ABI Phone Systems Open in Zanesville, OH about two weeks ago (www.JTBA.com), and this past weekend won the WV State Pepsi Championships.  She's been on a tear lately, and since she's been throwing quite a bit of Visionary I thought I'd brag on her a little.

Looking foreward to getting a Gladiator in her hands in the near future.  She makes the FMG, AMB Centaur Particle and Green Gargoyle look good..

I try .  And thanks for the kind words.  I'll let her read the responses sometime tomorrow.. It seems like here recently she's using more of the stuff I got off my test staff membership then I am.

But I did recently get 2 FMG's off a member on here.  I'm aiming for a Gladiator soon myself and either a Glad. Pearl or Ogre SS in the future.  I wish I had a decent video camera.  If so I'd make a video or two of the both of us.

Congratulations to Melia.  That's a great accomplishment.  Wishing her good luck in Detroit.

Guess she will need her own Test Staff membership and then you can get her old stuff.

Yea I know,  Its pretty bad when I give her the balls I don't like and she throws them better than I ever did.  Ole well though, thats usually how it goes.  The balls I really like, and like the way they are drilled she hates, so it all works out okay .

I'm just waiting for a day when we come across a ball we both like and end up fighting over it. .  It's sad to say, but our hand span is identical and she is about 4 more pieces of tape than me with a slightly smaller insert.  Its bad.

Having the same span is not bad.  If you ever bowl in a doubles or team event together, you will have twice as many balls to utilize if necessary.

As far as both liking the same ball, the wise man knows what to do in that event - the unwise man will soon learn.
