AMB Centaur Solid vs Black Widow
« on: August 20, 2007, 03:13:10 PM »
Would there be a big difference in reaction with similar layouts (coverprep)on both balls?

Have a BW that I'm not that happy with, thinking of getting an AMB Solid to take it's place..

Any info is appreciated..

Lillen97,

You may want to post this under the Q&A part2 section. Jason may be able to give you a good view point.

Lillen97,

Since, this hasn't been addressed I'll give you my opinion.  I do have and have used a Solid AMB.  It's great medium heavy ball.  I have never used a Black Widow but last year it was one of the favorites out there.

From what I have seen from BW users it seems to have more of a skid flip reaction depending on what technique the user had and lane condition used on.

Solid AMB's are more rolly for me not as rolly as an FMG but more rolly than a BW.  Does that make sense?

I'd compare the Solid AMB more to a No Mercy than a BW.

I looked at how you have the first BW in your profile and with that layout the BW would be more rolly.

FWIW, I don't see enough oil to use the Solid AMB as much as I would like and prefer to use my FMG in those situations for the most part.

Hope that helps.
