B/G Centaur vs Blue Sparkle Gryphon
« on: October 31, 2007, 12:54:16 AM »
How do they compare???

I see a bit of lighter mediums.

Is it feasible to have both???

Thanks.

They are pretty similar but you could have both.  The Gryphon will flare more.

Personally these balls are quite different, the BSG with the polish knocked off will be stronger than anticipated.  It's a more versatile ball as well without the factory shine.  It worked better for me than OOB.

For me the BGC was very smooth, even, controlled, even if they both can optimally cover the same lane conditions, the desired line of play should be different.

The BSG can be a bit jumpy off the dry, a low rev friend of mine using one some times has to put it away because it's move is too aggressive.

You can have both, step down to the BGC when the BSG is too much.

When I compare it's  OOB surfaces.  You can play the same part of the lane with both balls. IMO....they are are both down and inner kind of equipment.  You can get deeper with the BSG because it's an overall stronger ball...BUT it's no hooking monster by any means.

YMMV.
