I thought it was just another hooking ball before I tried it. You hear this ball or that ball is big hooking and it reality most are just ok. However, the AMB is a leap ahead of everything else. After lining up with my medium/heavy equipment, I move 5 and 2 left thinking it would be enough room to see how much this ball hooked. Wrong. Missed the headpin completely and hit the 2 pin.
(See my review for the ball.)

Sure am glad to hear you say that about the Centaur particle. I would rather have to tame a ball down than to try and make it more aggressive. I have one on the way and want to use it on my "getting heavier oil every week" league shot. Because of info from this forum I'm drilling it ( do my own ) about 5 x 5 which puts the pin almost over my ring finger. I'm not sure how high I'll put the pin yet but I think it will be fairly high. I'm really looking forward to working with this ball.

I think 5 inch pin to pap would work great. I initially drilled mine at 3 3/8 leverage and 45 deg mb and it was just too much or something. Ball flared a ton but but didnt' roll right. I was told it was rolling out but I don't know. Even on heavy flood it would just rotate all the way down the lane and not hook..
Anyway.. I went to 6 inch pin to pap and the ball has a way better look.. gets down the lane some but still wants to move alot. 6 inch may be alittle tame though as I can use it on some fresh medium heavy house shots.. I wanted the ball for abnormal heavy oil conditions. I may redrill it to 5 inches but that would be alot of plugs in it.
Let me know how your drill it and how it works out.
specs
16-17 mph
350-475 rpm
pap 5 1/2 over 1/2 up.

I tend to drill balls with longer pin to pap layouts. That way if I want to plug and redrill it more aggressive I am moving the track area away from the plug work.
