AMB Solid
« on: March 13, 2006, 09:32:20 AM »
Would the AMB Solid be considered more of a med-heavy ball or heavy like the frankie may? And what type of general reaction does the AMB Solid have? Im hoping this will be a nice step up from my Violet but under my Arc so to replace my Nemesis( w/e i do to my nemesis doesnt seem to work ie. surface prep, drilling, etc.) Would this fit the bill ?

I have both balls. Although they are drilled different the nature of each ball is still the same.

The AMB solid is a good ball for a oil especially with the OOB finish. It gives a strong reaction and carries through the pocket well. The AMB stands more of a chance in the heavy oil. The AMB with a light polish or smoother sanding can handle a medium oil condition very easily. The AMB gets a good solid reaction and has a fairly predictable transition to the dry.

The Frankie is a strong piece but is very smooth rolling and doesnt fair very well in the heavy oil.

I think with some minor tweaking this ball could fit nicely between your Violet and your Arc
