Any news on the Mixed Breed yet?
« on: May 12, 2011, 01:13:53 AM »
Any info on the release date? I know they are working on the specs for the 14lb I believe and the 15lb is within USBC specs. Thanks, Bruce

I have not heard of an "official" release date.  However, I would be willing to bet it will be an Expo/Mid Summer release so they can be ready for the upcoming season.

i heard the same as batbowler...

the 15 and 16 lb were within specs, and the 14 was giving them an issue.

from what i can tell the core is pretty sweet...

Hey guys talked with Jason today and the ball is currently being reviewed again by the USBC. On another note I rolled it today and it is a beast. I will post a pic when I get the file uploaded. Let's just say you will not sneak up on the pins.

I also talked to Jason yesterday at the TCBA Playoffs in Dallas and I will tell you the ball will for sure get some looks rolling down the lane. I like the looks of it a lot and it did cover some boards, that's for sure..

I am sure it will be another winner from Jason and the boys at VBP.

PS: On a side note, if you ever get the chance to go meet and talk with Jason, do it!! There is not a nicer more down to earth guy to talk to about any and everything bowling than Jason..

Nice looking ball.  What was the deal on this core again?  IF, I get one it's definitely going to be laid out correctly.  I sure did not get that done right the last 2-3 new releases.

I agree with scotts33 on the looks of the ball!

The core is a combination of the New Breed and Gladiator cores. While the cover is like the Spartans. Therefore, this is a True mixed breed ball.

the mix breed was at the tcba nationals this past weekend, I talked to Jason he said it was about 3-5 boards stronger then the spartan.

He had 4 test balls drilled to try, i didnt get a chance to try one, but i watched willie throw a few shots and it was simular to the spartan as for its shape and reaction just stronger. even with a matte finish it cleard the heads good, read the mids great and finished strong with a heavy roll.

it should be released to the public in june i believe
