Anyone throw the SS yet?
« on: July 26, 2007, 04:33:37 AM »
Just looking for some input or personal reviews on this ball before I go out and get one of my own.  I need to tackle the money situation first

If you are looking for somthing that is long and very angular this is for you. It reminds me alot of my Immortal Pearl but maybe a bit more angular on the back. Clears the front part with no problem.
Mine is drilled pin below bridge and g swung out. 4.5 X 2 drilling. You can see my post below.

Twister, any chance you got a video of your SS done yet?

If I was to give a comparison to anything else on the market, I would say a more consistent Green Gargoyle (stays in play much longer), equal in hit but not as sensitive to carrydown. Ball clears the heads like nothing reactive pearl before it.

Hope this helps

Good to know, thanks.

I just got my SS dropped off a few minutes ago.  Mine is mostly a white pearl color, with some blue mixed.  It is going to be the ugliest ball in my bag by a long shot.

I just received my Bluver yesterday.  Mine is more of a cream color than white or silver/blue swirl.  It has blue in it.  But it is definitely more of a cream color and blue.  I will punch it up in the next day or two and see what this puppy will do.

Gawd...I hope it doesn't look like the AMF S Bone.

I have yet to get one but will in the next week or two for fall leagues.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it look like the bone XS.  I would say the ball looks more like the old cream colored Columbia white dot.

Imagine this.... a creme white dot, with blue and silver swirls over 50% of the ball, a hot pink VSB label, and bright orange Ogre labels on each side of the ball.... then drilled up with 3 different colored finger/thumb inserts.

The SS is gonna to be one attractive bowling ball for sure.
