Building a 3 ball Arsenal
« on: April 19, 2008, 12:34:40 PM »
Hey gang.  Looking for some friendly advise.  About mid season this past year I purchased a mint 16# Charcoal executioner online.  Had it redrilled and finished the year out with it.  I'm very happy with it and could see it remaining my goto ball out of the bag.

What I am wondering is what to compliment it with.  I throw about 15-16 mph and tend to throw a nice fluid arc to the pocket.  I'm not too much for the skid-snap reaction.  I was thinking of going with an Immortal Solid or a FMG on the higher side.  And either the B/G Centaur or a Slate Blue Gargoyle on the lower end (assuming I can find one).

Any other suggestions?

thanks,
Mark

Give us a profile.  What is your ball speed and rev rate?  Without knowing, grab an Immortal while you can still find one and the B/G Centaur would do just fine.

Just as TWOHAND said, we need much more information from you before we can give you an idea of a perfect arsenal. With that being said, there are a few options you can go with to get a somewhat cover all the basis arsenal.

First off, even though you dont like skid flip, youre gonna have to get something a little flippy for the dryer side.

For the heavier side you cant go wrong with an Immortal Solid. They are being discontinued but you can still get them and they are grandfathered in over the USBC RG ratings. Next, for mediums, you can get a FMG or Ogre solid. I have an Ogre solid and i took the surface up to 2000abralon and its pretty much my go-to ball, and i would recommend using the same. For the more fried lighter conditions the Ogre SS is the way to go, unless you can find a B/G Centaur. If you can get a B/G Centaur, grab one because it is a true dryer lane ball. If not, grab the SS with a simple length drilling.
