Burgundy Gryphon first impressions
« on: January 16, 2009, 10:22:36 PM »
Got my practically brand new Burgundy Particle Gryphon plugged/redrilled and got to use it in league last night. Wow! What an excellent piece to add to an already potent arsenal. Pic of my layout-

Our house lays down the oil heavy, so this one was a no-brainer. Played my normal belly over 9 out to about 5 and the Burgundy chewed through the oil and had more backend pop than I've ever seen out of a particle ball. Hit on it was phenomenal (duh) and unlike my Granite, I was able to play an entire set with the ball. Shot well until the last game when I made some bad adjustments, but I stuck with it nonetheless and learned from my mistakes. Of course will have to practice with it alot more, but initial impressions are totally positive. Another winner from Visionary. Now the search is on to add a Frankie May and/or G-3 to the family! Many thanks to Mrbowlingnut for hooking me up with this beast. Start digging for those other Gryphons Barry!

I had one of those a few years back and it was a killer I had a whole bunch of sets in the 770+ range and so many good showings in tourneys I can't even begin to say. Great Ball!

Btw YW it went to a good home and that matters to a nut job like myself lol

Any other pieces you are willing to part with.  I actually had been on the lookout for a burgundy.
