What's Up with Visionary
« on: October 01, 2004, 02:05:32 AM »
I decided to re-up my test staff membership for the coming year and asked Jason what's up.  What new equipment they were going to fill the void by older balls taken out of the line-up.

For those that are interested.....here is what he said ----> Hi Scott,

Well, we are always working on several balls at the same time, but right now, we are planning on a new Centaur next.  It will be a much more aggressive, much higher flaring ball than the original Centaur.  By just slightly modifying the shape and weight distribution of that core design, we can make the ball have a much higher flare potential, and a lot more backend.
Following the next Centaur, we are planning on a heavy oil ball.  We have been developing one for several months now, and we are beginning to zero in on what we think will be best for heavy oils, but this is still probably at least a few of months away.
Beyond that, we have been testing some particle pearls and several other new coverstocks that may come into play at the beginning of next year.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your bowling,

I-Bowl--I think that was said right from the horses mouth so to speak in the original post from me in the e-mail that Jason sent me and he allowed me to post it here on BR.

Scott,

After re-reading your first post, you are right....I had to clarify though in case someone forgot the message that started these threads.  The last thing I want to do is post something incorrect.

I also re-read all of my posts and not to sound egotistical, but I've had numerous 300's and 800's over the last several years.  I didn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable about my posts thinking that I've never shot an honor score.  Although the conditions nowadays have gotten alot easier and honor scores seem to be an everyday thing, I've prided myself on becoming a great tournament bowler and action bowler and have felt that bowling on the league type conditions did very little for my accuracy and shot making skills, therefore reduced that type of bowling to one night a week (once in a while I'll sub).

I just want everyone to be able to make sense of what information I try to pass along and also, when giving advice, want them to believe that what I bring to the table has been truthful and from experience, not just heresay.

Keep me up-to-date with any questions any of you have about balls, layouts, surface, conditions, and adjustments.  I let everyone know I've been bowling for 21 years and I've been brought up around some of the most knowledgeable bowlers throughout the years.

Best of luck everyone,

Steve
