Coverstock issues with Spartan and Crossover
« on: October 08, 2010, 01:22:37 PM »
I have drille one of each of the new balls and they have both had the same problem, they are chipping out around the thumb hole.
With the Crossover I was on a pair by myself and considered it a fluke and was able to put a 1 3/8 slug in to fix it, now tonight (first night out with the spartan, just drilled this afternoon) by the 3rd game I had to good size chips by the thumb again.
I run the shop at this bowling alley and drill my own stuff.
Normal causes would be not enough bevel in the thumb or high tracker, well I know I bevel enough because I finish all of my balls the same way and these have been the only 2 that I have had problems with, and I am no where near a high tracker.
I have not fixed any balls with this issue this year besides the crossover.

Anyone else seeing any issue with this?
