Frankie May
« on: April 17, 2007, 04:41:32 AM »
I was sort of surprised when I was watching an old PBA show last weekend.  Lo and behold, there was the real Frankie May bowling.  I never actually thought there was a real person, I guess, named that.  Does he have someting to do w/ the company?

Hello everyone,

Frankie May is our northeast sales rep. and we have worked with Frankie for many many years going well back into the days when we owned Faball Enterprises.  He has been involved with bowling and the pro shop industry since he was 18, and is not only a very good bowler, but he is a great person.

----For those of you who don't know the background, my father John Wonders, was the founder of Faball Enterprises, and the designer of the "Hammer" brand.  Our family owned and ran Faball from the late 70's until 2002 when we sold the trademarks to Ebonite.----

Frankie ran the USBC nationals booth for us when we owned Hammer, and for the past 4 years has run our Visionary booth.  Most people don't realize how good of a bowler he was, and still is.  He is a member of 3 Bowling Hall of Fames, won 5 PBA titles and well over $100,000 as a senior PBA player.  He does occasionally make an appearance on ESPN classic with repeats of old tournaments, and yes he can talk bowling all day long....
