i just picked up one of these really cheap. i was wondering what can i expect out of this ball. i am looking for a nice even arching reaction that doesnt jump on the backend. i was thinking about trying a rico layout on it. the ball specs are a 1-2 inch pin with 3 oz. of top weight. are these specs good for a rico layout? any information would really be appreciated. if the specs arent ideal for a rico layout any other layouts would be very helpful. thanks in advance for all the help.

My Blue Warlock has about the same specs yours does, I went with a 70*4*75 pin under the ring finger and to the right some.

With this layout and the OOB the ball rolls out at the arrows you will need head oil to get it down lane.  I imagine with the RICO it will be even earlier so you probably will need to adjust the surface accordingly.

I have changed the surface to 4000ab and it still is smooth and even rolling and very controllable but it saves a lot more energy to actually make it down lane and carry.

Unless you intend to put a 4000 grit finish and then polish the ball,
OR
if you have BOTH very high ball speed AND a very high rev rate,
I would also suggest not putting a Rico-Drilling on the ball.

I have seen A_P_K throw his and it is very much a control ball even at the 4000 grit Abralon finish he has on his. Has a ton of hit for a 12-15 year old ball!!!
