Thanks Visionary

I haven''t been on here in a while, nor have I bought any new equipment to talk about.  But I sure did have some success with one of my older balls on Wednesday night...

Wednesday was the roll off.  It was our 5 person men''s league and one of the bigger paying leagues in our area.  Six games, total pins.  Six teams were involved (winner of each quarter, and the teams with the most wins in the first and 2nd half that didn''t win a quarter also got in).

Anway, we started off pretty good but couldn''t catch this one particular team which seemed to be bowling very well and while we were shooting high 1000 to 1100 pins per game they seemed to be catching some breaks and in doing so kept scoring just a little better...

Entering game 5 we were down 97 pins to this team with 2 games left and we were spotting them 87 pins a game..  I shot games of 236, 218, 199, and 203 using my L/M Terminator Reb. and Big/R bang..

After struggling with carry as the lanes broke down I switched to a ball I hadn''t thrown since mid season to start game 5.  It was my Frankie May Gryphon.  Our lead off bowler struggled this game (184), but I went on to shoot 299, my father shot 260, 4th bowler shot 269, and our anchor shot 254 for a 1266 single game score (that was high for the league, previous was 1212).

I also shot 268 my 6th game and was on a 280 pace until the 2nd ball in the 10th (left a 10 pin, and wiffed it).  We shot 1184 as a team the last game and it was enough to win the league..

Anway, to put an end to my story it takes a team effort to be in the hole 271 pins with 2 games to go and pull through it to win the league.  But I have to tip my hat to Visionary for making some great equipment and had I not made the ball change that probably wouldn''t have happened.

Thanks for making great products guys

Later,

Rodney Evans II

Congrats Rodney. Glad to see you did it with some "old school". Well, old in bowling years, at least. I still use my Burgundy Particle Gryphon, G-3, and even a Blue Sparkle Gryphon. All great balls! Have a NIB Frankie May I'll probably get drilled up for summer PBA Experience league. Hard to get some games in since I completed the all-New Breed arsenal recently. Loving the New Breed Pearl since picking one up a couple weeks ago. One of the smoothest balls I've ever thrown! Excellent job Jason and co. Now if they only released a Particle version of the NB...
