G3 vs Ogre SS

For those who have thrown both, how would you compare them???

The SS is stronger than I thought it would be but I'm not complaining. I thought it would be more over/under, but for me, it has been far from it.

I have seen Bar5003's video on the Gryphons. Maybe he has some thoughts

SS is NOT the Mean Greenie Krumpy.  All these folks that think the SS is more than the Greenie are mistaken IMO.  

G-3 is less jumpy for me than the Greenie.  G-3 has more overall hook than the SS and will handle a bit more carry down and starts up sooner because of the Gryphon II core.

Thanks S33. I kind of figured the G3 would be stronger overall and not as snappy as the SS.

My Greenie was a bit longer than my SS and they were drilled pretty much the same ( pin over ring, CG stacked). My SS seems rollier to me, maybe it is the silver-white and blue haze going down the lane and disrupting my focus My SS seems to blend more of the over/under that I saw with my Greenie.

I may need to throw them side by side for a better comparison.

All the Ogres IMO aren't going to give you the heavy snap becuase of the low differential and the cover.  Seems like they are great for controlling the backend which I like.  

G-3 and Greenie would give you more backend or the Crimson Ex. if you can find one.  

I'd rate them all things being equal.

Greenie most length most move off the spot/friction.
SS next in length less move off the spot.
G-3 3rd in length more move off the spot....more differential.
Crimson Ex. just about the same for length for me as the G-3 but little less backend but still more than the SS.

I think you can still get the Crimson's on the VSP website at a decent price.
