Slate Blue Gargoyle

Hey guys just picked one up and its my first visonary ball. I was hoping someone can give me some drilling help. How should i lay it out. I want it to be able to handle the fried lanes when both my hammer vibes hook too much. My info is 16mph speed, low track, 375 rpms. Both of my vibes are drilled pin right of ring finger. specs on the ball are 15.2 3-4 pin and like 2.40 tw i think.

This layout has worked really well for me as a dual purpose spare/dry lane ball.  I keep it lightly scuffed with a grey pad to even out the reaction at spares.

On dry lanes it still finishes pretty strong and tends to keep the pins low.  I like the pin action with urethane better than what I see with plastic as well.

I like that layout J Mac.  My SBG is set up 3.5 x 3.5-ish.  So it hooks a good bit when the lanes are pretty dry.  The layout you have I think would work great for the SBG.

When I first had this ball redone to fit my hand I went to the lane set aside for the pro shop that day and tried it out.  After a days worth of fresh coverstocked  balls being used on this lane I had to play inside 3rd arrow (swinging it out with plenty of bump room it seemed) with this layout to hold pocket.  The track was just a little toasty I guess.

I had my SBG drilled pretty strong, stacked leverage with the pin under the fingers:

The ball is pretty smooth, and works very well on shorter patterns. I like to play it across 2nd arrow, standing between 20th and 23rd board with my right shoe tip. The ball moves early, but very arcing and steady. It just does not like carrydown at all.
The strong drill was chosen since my pro shop guy did not know how strong the cover would be and it was in fact the first Visionary ball at all in the region.
