I'll take a stab at this. FWIW.....I think of 35' as a shorter pattern ie.PBA Cheetah. Do the outsides play drier like Cheetah? How do you normally play this pattern?
If it is like a Cheetah pattern two ways you can attack this pattern IMO. Take a ball like the Solid Ogre with a low differential keep the ball scuffed say 1000 matte and put a 105 layout to mellow out the reaction off the spot/corner. I used a Vis. Violet with a 105 on a pattern like this and did very well with it....I did heep the Violet in OOB surface though. The 105 will mellow out the ball reaction so scuffing may not be needed. You might use 1500 or 2000.

Either way IMO you have to find a ball that you can control the back end with....let us know what you decide. Ask Jason also.....he has good wisdom.
BTW....you say your IS is a bit jumpy off the spot. What surface is it and how is it laid out?
