Gladiator Pearl First thoughts
« on: January 16, 2009, 03:46:47 AM »
Well I tried Mutant Man's Gladiator Pearl for the first time last night. I must say I am very impressed.

At T&O lanes last night, Guardian on the Heads, with wood on the backends and over the top returns, needless to say getting left a little more is out of the question. On lanes 3&4 were carry down is more prevalent than most of the pairs. I started playing around, 15 at the arrows bouncing out to around 7-8 at the break or a little farther great recovery and easy length smooth for a ball with polish off the break point exactly what I was looking for. Carry down hit and I start sliding to the right going straighter at the end of the second game I was around 11 at the arrows going out to 5 with a little more speed and  a touch extra hand. Third game someone blow a whole in the track and I struggled to find a mark for the first four frames finally settled back down playing 15 out to 5 break was about 45 feet consistently all night.

HIGH POINTS: Length was easy even when I pitched it out early it didn't matter, exactly what I have been looking for at the house in question. Nice move to the pins was quick and decisive but controllable on a condition that tends to be very out of control. (a friend of mine playing fifth arrow with plastic going out to 5 and crossing the head pin last week) GP is versatile can handle varying degrees of oil with easy adjustments and keeps pins low and moves them around well.

More in depth review after more games and houses are explored with this piece.

Thanks Mutant Man.

Keyword being controllable which are the Glad's great attribute.  I don't know if that Galea cover or the Mohawk core but that are smmmooooothh which no doubt helped you on your old wood at T&O.
